- Clinical Assistant Professor
After graduating from the University of Illinois Dental School in 1969, I was sent to Ft. Dix, New Jersey where I was involved in a program with a heavy emphasis on periodontics. This convinced me that periodontics was the foundation of clinical dentistry and was what I wanted to pursue during my dental career. I entered the post graduate periodontal program at the University of Illinois and graduated in 1974. I then began practicing in downtown Chicago 4 days a week and teaching 2 days a week and continued this schedule until I retired from my practice after 40+ years. Currently I am teaching in the University of Illinois post graduate periodontal program. the University of North Carolina periodontal post graduate program, and at East Carolina's General Practice Residency Program. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my wife, exercising, attempting to play golf, and being with my family.
